Getting your vehicle ready for winter is very important. Here at New Level Motorsports, we know that few things are more frustrating than going outside on a cold winter’s day to find that your car won’t start. Preventive maintenance is a must at any time of year, but especially in the winter. We have a few tips to keep your vehicle in tip top shape over the winter months.
• Replace dirty filters like the air, fuel, and PCV on a regular basis to help your engine run cleaner and last longer.
• Don’t let your gas tank run on empty. A gas tank which is kept filled helps keep moisture from forming in the tank and help keeps condensation and water from getting into your gas. In some areas of the country, you may need to use a bottle of fuel de-ice in your tank once a month to help keep moisture from freezing in the fuel line. We know how important fuel efficiency is! If you want to stay efficient all year long, try a using
power programmers, tuners, or chips.
• Don’t drive with dirty windows. Replace your windshield wipers if you need to.
• The same goes for your headlights. You need to be able to see clearly on the roads when the weather gets harsh.
Some of us are lucky enough to live in areas that don’t experience a lot of winter weather. But if you live somewhere that might get snow this season, you should get your vehicle ready!
