Kevlar Heat Barrier 26" x 40" by Thermo-Tec

Thermo-Tec's Kevlar Heat Barrier is a great heat shielding solution. Made from Kevlar with a Mylar finish, it can withstand up to 3000 degrees F of radiant heat and direct contact (touching) up to 800 degrees F. This is far greater than the average heat barrier!

Kevlar Heat Barrier by Thermo-Tec can be installed using standard rivets with a backup washer or a Spray Adhesive. The use of clamps or straps can be used to hold the Kevlar Heat Barrier in place for applications on manifolds or exhaust systems.

When used as a heat shield, the Kevlar Heat Barrier is installed so the bright metallic surface faces the heat source to reflect heat. When the Kevlar Heat Barrier is used to retain heat in applications such as exhaust manifolds, the Kevlar Heat Barrier is installed with the fabric side facing the heat to hold the heat in and prevent it from radiating out.

The part number for this item is 16850 and it measures 26" x 40". It can be cut with a razor to any size.
