Not all intake systems are the same and savvy customers know which ones make more power than others. This is why Volant Cool Air Intakes are extremely popular with Camaro owners who know their intake systems. Why? Volant Cool Air Intakes take a different approach to making power on the 2010-2011 Chevy Camaro 3.6 V6. Volant eliminates the OEM Camaro Airbox, and uses a special heatshield that fits the with the contour of the Camaro, along with a higher flowing filter with a larger surface area. This process not only improves air flow on the 2010-2011 Chevy Camaro V6, it also prevents hot air from contaminating the intake charge to the engine and provides gains in both horsepower and torque. Volant then replaces all of that restrictive piping all the way back to the Camaro's throttle body with higher flow tubing that your mass air flow sensor will bolt right up to in a matter of minutes. Fast and easy horsepower and torque.

Features of Volant Part# 15036 and 415036:
Volant Filter Heat Shield: Cross-link polyethylene filter heat shield is engineered to specific to the design of the Chevy Camaro 3.6 V6. It insulates and protects the filter from pulling hot air from the engine compartment, thus, increasing horsepower.
Volant Air Duct: Cross-link polyethylene air ducts are sculptured to give the 3.6 V6 a less restrictive air pass to breathe. Larger diameters, unique bends and smooth transitions gives you maximum horsepower and awesome throttle response.
High Performance Silicon Connectors: High performance silicone hose connectors provides flexibility while maintains strength and thermal stability.
Stainless Steel Clamps: Marine grade clamps allows optimal performance with large operating range and available for virtually any application which requires maintainability and versatility.

The part number for this Volant Intake is 15036 or 415036 (depending on which filter you choose) and it fits 2010-2011 Chevy Camaro V6 3.6 models.
This Intake fits 2010-2011 models only. It will NOT fit on the 2012 model.
Your new Volant Cool Air Intake offers you two choices for the air filter: The Standard Oiled Filter and the Volant PowerCore Dry Filter. While both filters offer the exact same horsepower and torque, there are some differences in how they are maintained.

The Volant Standard Oiled filter is the filter that your Volant Intake comes with regularly. It will need to be cleaned and oiled when it becomes dirty. The cleaning process is the exact same as a K&N filter if you have ever had one of those before. You will wash the filter, and apply a filter oil to the filter once it has dried. You will need a Volant Filter Cleaning Kit, which includes enough filter oil for three cleanings. We sell the Filter Cleaning Kit for $14.99, or you can buy a filter cleaning kit at your local auto parts store. You will need to clean the filter about once a year (more often if you do a lot of driving or are in very dirty/dusty conditions).

The Volant PowerCore Dry Filter Is maintenance free! Available as an upgrade (for an additional charge), the Volant PowerCore Dry Filter requires no oiling like the standard filter does! The PowerCore filter will hold up to two pounds of dirt without becoming clogged and can be cleaned with a shop vac in minutes. The filter is maintenance free for 100,000 miles meaning you can install it and forget about it.

The filtration on the PowerCore is slightly better (99.5% vs 98.5%), but both filters are of fantastic quality and durability

The bottom line comes down to whether you want to have to clean and oil your filter or not. Again, there is no difference in performance horsepower or torque between the two filters
